About this course

The 18th Edition course covers the requirements of BS7671, the UK national standard for the design, installation and verification of electrical installations. It's the benchmark qualification expected by employers, and a prerequisite for most further electrical qualifications, including inspection and testing courses.

The course is suitable for electricians, electrical engineers, maintenance staff and anyone who designs, installs, inspects, tests or certifies electrical work and needs to demonstrate up-to-date knowledge of the current regulations.

What you'll cover

Scope and purpose of BS7671, fundamental safety principles, cable selection and sizing, protective measures, special locations, inspection and testing requirements, and the amendments introduced in the current edition.

Who it's for

Practising electricians, those returning to the trade, engineers moving into electrical work, and anyone needing this qualification to meet a competent person scheme or employer requirement.

This course is delivered and your enrolment is registered by the accredited training centre assigned to you (one of our approved partner centres) — not by Skillbridge Qualifications directly. We'll confirm which centre delivers your course before you register.
