About this course

This combined qualification builds on initial verification skills to also cover periodic inspection and testing of existing electrical installations, including how to produce a correctly completed Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) and classify observed defects (C1, C2, C3, FI).

What you'll cover

Initial verification procedures, periodic inspection methodology, condition reporting and defect classification, sampling of existing installations, and the differences between EIC, EICR and Minor Works certification.

Who it's for

Electricians who want a single qualification covering both new-installation testing and ongoing periodic inspection work — a common requirement for landlords' safety certificates and commercial maintenance contracts.
