NVQ Level 2 Bricklaying

Turn your on-site bricklaying experience into a formally recognised qualification, assessed on real work you carry out.

About this course

This NVQ is assessed through your day-to-day work on site — an assessor observes and reviews evidence of your bricklaying skills against national occupational standards, rather than through classroom exams. It's the standard route to formal recognition for tradespeople already working in the industry.

What's assessed

Setting out and building masonry structures, mixing and using mortar, laying bricks and blocks to line and level, cutting and bonding techniques, health and safety practice, and working to specification on live projects.

Who it's for

Bricklayers with practical experience who want a recognised NVQ — often needed for CSCS card applications and larger contracts.
