About this course

This NVQ is assessed through your day-to-day work on site — an assessor observes and reviews evidence of your carpentry and joinery skills against national occupational standards, rather than through classroom exams. It's the standard route to formal recognition for tradespeople already working in the industry.

What's assessed

First and second fix carpentry, door and window installation, use of hand and power tools, timber selection and preparation, health and safety practice, and working to specification on live projects.

Who it's for

Carpenters and joiners with practical experience who want a recognised NVQ — often needed for CSCS card applications and larger contracts.

This course is delivered and your enrolment is registered by the accredited training centre assigned to you (one of our approved partner centres) — not by Skillbridge Qualifications directly. We'll confirm which centre delivers your course before you register.
