About this course

This NVQ is assessed through your day-to-day work on site — an assessor observes and reviews evidence of your plastering skills against national occupational standards, rather than through classroom exams. It's the standard route to formal recognition for tradespeople already working in the industry.

What's assessed

Preparing backgrounds, mixing and applying plaster to solid and metal lathing backgrounds, finishing techniques, use of tools and equipment, health and safety practice, and working to specification on live projects.

Who it's for

Plasterers with practical experience who want a recognised NVQ — often needed for CSCS card applications and larger contracts.
